The Water Recreation Center

Lakeshore’s Water Recreation Center is a great escape from the summer heat. Our swimming pool is surrounded by a lazy river, where guests can lounge in tubes and float around. The water slide is also a very popular option. If you didn’t plan to get wet, though, there is plenty of seating as well as table space. There is a playground as well as a grill for cook-outs.

No group will be allowed to swim without a lifeguard; only lifeguards hired by Lakeshore will be used. At least two weeks advance notification is required to use the Water Recreation Center, unless there are groups already registered and the Water Recreation Center is opened.

Food may be brought. A small snack area is provided with a Coke and snack machine. A refrigerator with a freezer is available for use by the group. Each group will be assigned picnic tables with umbrellas to use during the swimming session. Each group is responsible for cleaning up their private area. Two charcoal grills are located on site for use. These will need to be reserved in advance and groups need to provide their own charcoal.

Bathrooms and showers are available for use. Please encourage your group to shower after changing and before entering the pool. Make sure that items are not left behind in the bathrooms when you leave.

Other pool rules:
• No diving
• The river should be entered from the front shallow entrance area only.
• No river tubes are allowed in the main pool area.
• No climbing on rocks or jumping into river from main area
• Participants must be 48” tall or able to swim a full length of the pool to use the slide. Adult leaders and parents are expected to help monitor this usage requirement. If younger children are using the slide, please have an adult in the water at the end of the slide to help catch them. This and all other slide rules are posted & must be followed.
• Modesty in choosing swimwear is encouraged. Lakeshore reserves the right to request a swimmer to cover up apparel, which is considered inappropriate in this setting.
