Weddings
Lakeshore United Methodist Assembly is happy to make its facilities available upon request to persons desiring their wedding service and celebration at our site.
Outdoor weddings may be scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis in any of our open-air areas or two vesper areas. Once scheduled, an indoor reception facility will be assigned, if requested. Lakeshore reserves the right to choose this space based on overnight retreat needs for other groups. Overnight retreats are given priority in the selection of retreat space.
Indoor space for weddings can be guaranteed no earlier than three months in advance in order to allow overnight retreats groups time to schedule. The Pilcher Tabernacle, however, may be reserved for wedding or reception space and guaranteed prior to three months. A room for changing will be provided, based on availability, at no charge.
Wedding groups must sign a contract and pay a non-refundable deposit of 50% projected wedding costs. The balance of the fee must be paid the day of the rehearsal/wedding or arrangements made with the office at Lakeshore. The contract will also serve as a commitment to read and follow Lakeshore policies including no alcohol permitted. The pastor must check with Gary Lawson, Executive Director, to discuss the ceremony and have the service approved. The Executive Director, as a representative of the United Methodist Church, reserves the right to reject any request not in keeping with the mission of the United Methodist Church, her Articles of Faith and Social Principles as defined in the current "Discipline".
